Planning & Preparation
Steve has been planning this get-away for the past two years. As you can imagine, the trip has required an inordinate amount of research, especially since we're traveling as a family. Steve drew on previous experience traveling in Southeast Asia and the Yucatan Peninsula and tapped friends and family and the extended network to make local contacts and find out more about the countries we're planning to visit. Here is an overview of our planning process as well as some of the main areas of consideration, research and development:
